Pros

Still has the small, personal feel (employee directory is organized by first name) Great opportunity to learn new technologies and techniques Strong user interface is delightful and means great product recognition

Cons

Startup-mode engineering processes mean tremendous development challenges and delivery pressures Heavy contractor labor focus provides frustrating environment for full time engineers and managers (much time spent training contractors on product and testing is lost when their contract ends, so you're constantly in recovery mode) Employee benefit package is marginal Crowded work conditions mean shared cubes, no offices, and conference rooms taken over to house contractors

Pros

This role is flexible time wise. It provides a lot of down time within one shift. The supervisors were understanding about errors, and supportive when training. Very small amount of training required.

Cons

Have to be able to watch and listen two two television shows simultaneously.

Pros

The office building was nice and there are some great people that worked there.

Cons

The leadership was a bunch of men just trying to protect their own egos and line their own pockets. I never worked anywhere that felt as dismissive of women as TiVo.
