Pros

The environment is very lavish. Good hourly pay for a security job and the trip to New Jersey for training is overall fun. Also as an employee you get very generous discounts on many of the jewelry items in the store. For someone who is passionate about retail I believe Tiffany has plenty of room for advancement.

Cons

Micro-managing, fake retail personalities. This job is for those who want to pursue a career in retail or management. The security officer is more of a doorman and you should expect to stand 6-9 hours a day in a 4X5 foot area with very little break time. This job will take its toll on most people within 6 months after all of the oohs and ahhs of the store wear off. Not a bad position for someone who don't mind standing and being idle but definitely not a job for anyone who is truly passionate about public safety or someone who needs to be productive and active. The managers also mix in other tasks in with the position (shipping and receiving type work). I would suggest to those who are interested in advancing in the company to use the security position as a stepping stone to get familiar with products, but for those who really enjoy police or security work it's very difficult and leaves no room for advancement or fulfillment. This is a very "politically correct" company who are afraid to offend minorities or even say anything genuine in fear of offending someone which created an environment for robotic phrases, greetings, and conversations.

Pros

There's never been any pros.

Cons

Greedy company that takes away from their employees every year. Client advisors make less and less every year. You are not human to this company, you are a server and you are disposable. My experience was at the 3 story Royal Hawaiian store. They praise you for overworking yourself, only time you'll get that.
