Pros

If you're in your early career, a big name on your CV may pave the way for future opportunities, and if you're interested in social media, entertainment, and livestreaming content, the job itself could occasionally be fun. That being said, I wouldn't recommend any of my friends working there based on my personal experience.

Cons

It's not a great place for people who have years of experience from other decent companies. The turnover rate is high and the intensity of work is unreasonable as well. Management don't really care about personality or your wellbeing, but how much work you could deliver and how well you serve internal/external clients. I felt disappointed as I thought TikTok was better than this considering how successful it has become globally. But, to become a truly global company, it certainly has a long way to go.

Pros

Salary and internal team culture. Never faced any harassment or discrimination, unlike several previous companies.

Cons

Cross functional and management culture has taken a nose dive since the JV sale. Leadership tanked everyone's performance ratings in the last cycle to save money and reduce headcount without paying severance. There is no training or support for new leaders, who bear the brunt of pressure implementing new strategies and trying to protect staff from burnout. The company's insistence on full return to office is another tactic to force people out.
