Pros

Being a remote first company they give you a lot of freedom about how to manage your work and time. But that doesn't mean you are on your own, every piece of code is reviewed by your peers (and you review theirs as well even if it's your first week). Also you will always find someone to answer your questions and help you when you are stuck... The expectations are high and be prepare to learn a lot along the way, even if it's a small company the peoples here are brillant and take pride in what they do. Every opinion matters and you are encouraged to speak up about anything that seems important to you (programming, organization...). Also there are regular meetups around the world (about 4 or 5 every years) where you can meet your peers and bound, be prepare to travel...

Cons

Can be a little overwhelming at first if you never worked remote, it takes time to get used to it but dont worry everyone the same...

Thank you for this thoughtful feedback. As you know, being team players is one of our core values. If individual team members do their best and help each other, then that really moves the mountains. The regular meetups around the world are also organized for the same purpose - to build a close team that works for a common goal with shared values. In terms of the initial overwhelm with remote work, it is something we are aware of and are actively seeking to relieve as much as possible.

Pros

The culture really is everything that you see online and it's great that they give you the flexibility to do your best work, when it's convenient for you. Perhaps the greatest group of people I've worked with.

Cons

Pay isn't great, but is passable given the good culture. The product and growth are pretty stagnant, hard to see this as a place that will really grow in the next few years. Not a great place to come and advance your career, pretty disappointing professional development.
