Pros

Hmmm....you get 40% off at Tommy, Izod and Calvin Klein

Cons

It's retail. It isn't rocket science. Even though sometimes they make you feel that way. For Tommy Hilfiger in particular, they like to plan BIG corporate visits to the stores (as they should). But, you have to make crazy last minute changes to your floor sets and all other kinds of silliness. Doing this sucks up almost all your allocated hours, which leaves you completely short handed for when the "visit" is over. And you typically lose your bonus that month because you go waaaay over your budgeted hours prepping and "putting on the show". Obviously, any special holiday is out the window. Upper management who doesn't actually have to work inside a store gets to spend those special holiday moments with those they love, but if you work in a store, you are screwed. You might get a couple of hours with your family...that's it.

Pros

Will provide mostly self guided training in the beginning. Does give 1on1 training if time allows. Seasoned Technical Team, are helpful without asking and light hearted. Let's you learn different categories to become more knowledgeable of various products. Work independently and differently.

Cons

The Technical Managers need sensitivity training for grieving associates. They also need to learn to treat employees equally whether new or long term employees. Unreasonable deadlines that overlap between development and production.
