Pros

Draws large crowd, beautiful building, offers guests everything from golf game to bar to dining. Very polite employees that wait on guests hand and foot.

Cons

Illegal tip pool, management rude, refuses to allow employees to take breaks or eat if busy, weekly schedules are changed daily without informing employees, employee overturn rate ridiculous on first week of opening.

Hello, thank you for your candid feedback. The tip pool is, in fact, legal and a common practice in the hospitality industry. We have several measures in place to ensure fairness and appropriate pay for all tip pool participants. The amount tipped out to each person is based on: the number of hours worked during a shift, the dollar value of tips contributed to the pool that shift and historically (up to 8 weeks of tip contribution history), and the Associate's position. One benefit of the tip pool is that it eliminates concerns about being assigned to a slow or undesirable section. I would encourage you to speak with HR or your General Manager if you have additional questions or concerns!

Cons

bad with making sure you have time off approved.

Pros

Free golf, Flexible schedule, Good discounts on food.

Cons

What can I say? Horrible management, favoritism when it comes to scheduling and low team moral. For a place that preaches about culture and inclusion, there is literally zero. The effort most people put in is as useful as a cardboard cutout. Hard work is truly not valued and I would never recommend someone apply here. The company as a whole doesn't reward the people running the business and it shows by how they penny pinch the people on the front line who work for every dollar they make. Almost every month I would dread pre-shift meetings because we would learn about another way "it was better for us" when in reality, it was removing our opportunity to make tips and hiking up prices for guests. Also the way events were set up never benefited bayhosts, if it is positioned as a "luxury" experience autograt should be included so that all the work that goes into that experience before, during and after is seen. Overall stay away.
