Pros

Remote - that is all

Cons

Flexible working hours? Be prepared to work 15h a day and receive messages during the night while in don’t disturb mode and had previously set working hours. Unlimited PTO what a joke. You are lucky if you get any days of vacation ever approved. Week of Christmas with low demand for work you have to be there and attend meetings. Working-life balance no comments but no worries there are some apps you can download and use for your mental health. No career path at all. Looks like a family company, if you are friends of the executives you are congrats and promoted every time doesn’t matter what the review team says. HR/"People" Team useless Diversity happens if you are from a poor country that you will be happy enough with your salary thanks to the currency conversion since payment is in US dollars only. By the way, the payment is through their own wallet system and you have to pay a fee to transfer it to your bank account. That way they don’t have to deal with local taxes. Or maybe not tax at all? The official documents have a random address which is only a parking lot.

Pros

Met some good dedicated employees and freelance workers.

Cons

Lack of any real industry solutions or capabilities since 100% of delivery services are freelance contractors. Model has been successful as providing staff augmentation to clients, but all intellectual capital and outcomes are owned by the clients or the freelancer. Toptal is simply a staffing platform broker who marks up the freelance talent. Great if you need a plumber, but not if you're planning to build a bathroom.
