Pros
Lucrative once successful. Relatively flexible with the family once successful. Requirements are upfront. As long as one gets the result and demonstrates that - you are left to manage and grow business how you feel is best - results speak. Great culture in office. Fun events. Positive people. New facilities. Our Technology is in-house and gives us an edge in a couple areas. Being a TQL Broker isn't an "easy" job - but all you need to be is trainable + eager - all the tools and training / mentorship is available and provided.
Cons
It's a lot like being a professional athlete - it very much helps to be healthy + have family support at home as one needs to focus on the office. Strongly suggest not starting as broker until in a healthy / stable place personally. Logistics is 24/7/365. Not just a moto. Living up to that isn't always fun but comes with the job. Learn to prioritize and communicate with clients, trucks, your leadership + team and one will be okay. (mentors available.) Not enough time in the day. Frustrating to lose or have things not go your way and one is not always given the answer. (don't always need to know why something isn't approved or why things change but I like to.) Just generally - can be a bit stressful. Anything high-impact is.
