Pros
Salary, incentives, Branch network support, home office support, professional environment with the chance for advancement. With any career there are ups and downs. Hard times and good times... You have to be willing to put in the work and see it though the hard times to enjoy the good times. We manage portfolios, and there will be economic "harder" times. That's when we buckle down and make improvements. Managers have to the driving force that produces results. Recruiting, hiring, training and maintaining their Branch operations. I managed different branches for 8 years. Each time I took a new branch it was a struggle to turn it around. Staffing issues, high dq, lower volume, not being profitable, etc. You have to be a professional and career minded individual to succeed. If you ever have run your own business you know it takes all you got to succeed. Not a full-time job for some, but, it's a full-time career for the few that want to succeed.
Cons
Hard work required. Some late nights, and some weekend work required. Prioritization of what matters daily.
