Pros
Consistent work schedule, solid Union protection. Some supervisors are great and understanding, most are not.
Cons
Some supervisors are great and understanding, others are not. Toxic work environment where drama occurs almost everyday. Veteran workers are seen disrespecting even the nicest, more understanding managers on site. Overworked and stressful environment, especially if you're a hard, capable worker. Your skills will be taken advantage of, while less capable workers are given bare-minimum tasks. Clean room protocol is pathetic at best, many safety violations, and workplace veterans are lazy and rude, often delegating heavy work-loads to the more polite, younger workers. Equipment technicians are sad, sorry excuses for equipment support, and the older ones, especially in Diffusion department are lazy, often sleeping on the job, to the point in which putting operators in acid-related health hazards. Clear nepotism that protects lazy, incapable workers who need to retire. Operators are spread thin, and staff resentment leads to inconsistent delegation of work load.
