On a corporate level, executives are mainly focused on maximizing revenue and minimizing cost, both on a short term basis. On a personal level, they primary concerned with keeping their highly payed jobs rather than becoming better leaders. Resolving efficiently multiple ad hocks, applying containments, doing excessive overtime and “Sir, yes Sir” attitude considered to be good practices. Missing a clear long-term vision and strategy. All above leads to a reactive environment, lower motivation and mediocre results.
