Pros
They are a company that truly cares about the customer and the employee. They compensate fairly, and everyone shares in the well being of the company, from the head of the company down to the part-time employee, so everyone feels that they are a part of something good. They also make working in retail a much happier place because they understand the importance of having a good relationship and quality time with family. Being in retail management can sometimes lead to poor salaries and an even poorer lifestyle in terms of quality of life. That's where this company has the competition beat!
Cons
If you aren't used to the "Out There" culture, meaning farming and do-it-yourself living, it can be hard to adjust to. It is also difficult to get used to the pace of the stores when you come from a high volume retail environment that's extremely fast paced. As a store manager, you are very much hands on in the store, and have a large part to do with driving sales. That has to be your first priority in this company, no matter what. The customer always comes first, and they give you the permission to do whatever you have to to keep the customer, but they also expect store standards to be kept to notch without always giving you all the people you might need to accomplish the task.
