Pros

TSC offers great incentives and bonuses even for part time employees including medical /dental/eyeglass insurance, Employee appreciation periods that give team members free gifts, 40% off weekends and more. Regular 15% employee discount that extends to parents, spouses, parent in laws, and children/siblings living in the same household. Paid COVID sick leave, stock options, 401k, employee assistance programs, and so much more.

Cons

The new manager does not have good people skills, barking orders and insults at extremely hard working employees always focusing on negativity. Doesn't know how to motivate or make team members feel appreciated. Embarrasses you by putting you on blast Infront of everyone for things that should be private. Part time means PART TIME only giving on average 15 hours per week. Odd rules pertaining to what team members (and their families) are allowed to purchase - items that have been discounted because of damages: the employee AS WELL AS their family members aren't allowed to purchase (they fear potential theft). Also, When working the register team members have to ask customers way too many questions -trying to push items of the month, getting their phone number, signing them up for Neighbors Club, asking them to apply for a TSC credit card, and asking for Charitable donations (occasionally) all during the same transaction .... When the customers just want to get home...

Pros

Great benefits, pay is manageable. The store bonuses are incredible. If you are a store manager anything lower it’s not any significance to a paycheck.

Cons

Long hours there is no work life balance. Depending on who your district manager is a lot of them are very unethical. When you do not follow what they say they will find a reason to fire you. The company itself was great, but it’s the people they hire.
