Good company, good co-workers/managers, but can be difficult to grow - Production Manager Trane Technologies Employee Review

Most positions do not offer a lot of opportunity for growth. Extreme effort over a long period of time needs to be shown for any sort of career progression, as there is not a great org chart for gradual progressions in most departments. Also, the company seemed to be very employee-first, but with HVAC competition getting fierce, they went under layoffs shortly after stating that they were going to do everything but that to keep the company running. I was abruptly laid off just 1 year after being promoted and providing record numbers in my areas... And apparently there were around 30+ laid off at the same time. So that could be a sign that the Columbia, SC plant is not heading in a good direction...
