Pros

Great benefits, decent training, great co-workers

Cons

This company will literally work you to death and not care one bit while they are doing it. They just want more and more and offer little reward or incentive to give more. People will work through lunch because they feel like they have to in order to get all their work done. The morale is so low and workload and turnover is high. They really care about the male staff but not so much about the women unless you are one of their favorites who looks good on the outside. They don't really care much about long-term employees who have devoted every shred of their being to them. Upper management is a tight little "clique" who care more about themselves than their employees. They often brag about all the special things they are able to do such as vacations, purchasing new vehicles and traveling on the company dime to accrue hotel and airline miles for their next great trip while the employees have to listen to their glorious lives knowing that they are struggling from paycheck to paycheck.

Pros

Timely communication from Talend acqisition team. Scheduling the interviews with detailed information was very helpful. The interviewers were warm and supportive which made the technical and behavioral interviews feel comfortable to answer. Great company culture and familiar faces made a full time return after 10 years as consultant is very exciting.

Cons

Room for improvement regarding response time after each interview rounds.

Pros

We receive continuous training to stay up to date with new state regulations and market trends. My colleagues make the day go by quickly. The benefits are very reasonable. There is room for career growth if you know how to network. I appreciate their consistent push for community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The personal lines department seems to be falling apart right now. Issues with the internal systems are resulting in underwriters doing multiple jobs and becoming a dumping ground for all agent issues even if they aren't underwriting related. I don't feel that the directors are truly expressing to the senior leadership team the impact that all these issues are having on the mental health and quality of life for the employees that are on the front lines trying to maintain a good reputation for the company. It's sad to see how quickly this department has gone downhill and the amount of quality underwriters that are jumping ship for different departments or different companies all together. What's even sadder it that no one with authority seems to care, or listen, when concerns are brought forth. I truly advise anyone considering applying for any position within the personal insurance department to hold off until things start to change - it's not worth the mental anguish that you'll experience.
