Pros

Good benefits (Medical, Dental and vision), Generous PTO, great location in Baldwin Park, Orlando, FL

Cons

Incompetent department with Senior managers who do not have a clue about what happens at the desk level!! I hated having to go to that department everyday was sucking the life out of me. Overworked and stressed out employees, call center environment, low salary, vague job description since it does not do justice explaining what the position actually includes, so beware, ask lots of question if considering position. New hires train and as soon as they find out what the real job is they run AWAY fast. The company gives you a good amount of PTO because they know based on the work load you will need it. They expect you to work like crazy to get your work caught up, before you go on PTO and work 10 times more after you return, just a never ending cycle. No employee loyalty, company does not offer to assist in finding other positions or to cross train, they just ignore burnt out employees all they care about is their bottom line. Their attitude is If you don't like it then you can leave!!

Pros

Timely communication from Talend acqisition team. Scheduling the interviews with detailed information was very helpful. The interviewers were warm and supportive which made the technical and behavioral interviews feel comfortable to answer. Great company culture and familiar faces made a full time return after 10 years as consultant is very exciting.

Cons

Room for improvement regarding response time after each interview rounds.

Pros

We receive continuous training to stay up to date with new state regulations and market trends. My colleagues make the day go by quickly. The benefits are very reasonable. There is room for career growth if you know how to network. I appreciate their consistent push for community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The personal lines department seems to be falling apart right now. Issues with the internal systems are resulting in underwriters doing multiple jobs and becoming a dumping ground for all agent issues even if they aren't underwriting related. I don't feel that the directors are truly expressing to the senior leadership team the impact that all these issues are having on the mental health and quality of life for the employees that are on the front lines trying to maintain a good reputation for the company. It's sad to see how quickly this department has gone downhill and the amount of quality underwriters that are jumping ship for different departments or different companies all together. What's even sadder it that no one with authority seems to care, or listen, when concerns are brought forth. I truly advise anyone considering applying for any position within the personal insurance department to hold off until things start to change - it's not worth the mental anguish that you'll experience.
