Pros

PTO. that is it. I wish I could give zero stars.

Cons

If you enjoy being micromanaged every second of every day, intimidation and harassment from management, abuse and being treated like you are less than human this is the perfect job for you! This job will leave you mentally drained and utterly exhausted. You will have no work life balance and have to jump through hoops to stay working from home just so you don’t have to commute over 2 hours one way to go answer phone calls in a completely empty office building.(after they hired you for a remote position durning the interview they will force RTO on you). In managements eyes you will never do enough, or be fast enough and you will never meet their unrealistic ever changing metrics. You are expected to be a robot. You will be timed on your bathroom breaks and have them counted against your performance. You will be tethered to a desk for 8 hours a day with back to back phone calls without a chance to take a breath in between them, all while someone from management is breathing down your neck constantly messaging you. This company views you as a number, you are simply a body in a seat to them. No matter how well you do or what metrics you hit you will be harassed and pressured to perform better with constant threats of write ups and termination. You will never receive any help from management, the only thing they will do for you is a weekly meeting where they highlight every single thing you did wrong and nit pick you to death, but can never give you practical, legit ways to actually improve your performance. You are set up to fail. They WILL find SOMETHING to write you up for so you cannot receive raises and or apply to different positions within the company. If management does not like you for whatever reason you will be bullied and harassed with hopes you quit. Going to HR with complaints of harassment and a toxic work environment will do absolutely nothing but put a target on your back.I have never in my 10 plus years of working ever dealt with a company this horrible before. They will burn you out and run you into the ground then get rid of you, This company was a revolving door when it came employees. They will lie to you in the initial interview and claim they offer consistent working schedules/hours, when in reality your schedule will change every 6 months and you will have no say in it as you and 100 other people have to bid for your hours. If you get hours that were never discussed in the initial interview that you cannot work, that’s too bad. I cannot stress enough how little this company cares about its employees. You will be treated like a pre schooler and have to explain to your boss why you were in the bathroom for 3 minutes and 15 seconds. You will work Saturdays and Sundays and most holidays, when you work the weekend you will never have 2 consecutive days off in a row. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone ever and if you are thinking of taking a position with them- run. Save your sanity and mental health and work literally anywhere else.

Pros

We receive continuous training to stay up to date with new state regulations and market trends. My colleagues make the day go by quickly. The benefits are very reasonable. There is room for career growth if you know how to network. I appreciate their consistent push for community volunteer opportunities.

Cons

The personal lines department seems to be falling apart right now. Issues with the internal systems are resulting in underwriters doing multiple jobs and becoming a dumping ground for all agent issues even if they aren't underwriting related. I don't feel that the directors are truly expressing to the senior leadership team the impact that all these issues are having on the mental health and quality of life for the employees that are on the front lines trying to maintain a good reputation for the company. It's sad to see how quickly this department has gone downhill and the amount of quality underwriters that are jumping ship for different departments or different companies all together. What's even sadder it that no one with authority seems to care, or listen, when concerns are brought forth. I truly advise anyone considering applying for any position within the personal insurance department to hold off until things start to change - it's not worth the mental anguish that you'll experience.
