Pros

Some sincere and nice folks who are great to partner with. Decent benefits. HQ offices are nice. They are working to modernize legacy technologies for end users. Going through growth period in certain departments.

Cons

Executives and management are a mix of new folks and legacy folks. Lots of changes going on internally with blend of retiring, firing, and new hires plus restructuring. Strong clash / poltiics around doing things like they always have vs. allow folks to try something new for efficiency sake. HUGE disconnect within internal processes - witnessed moments where left hand didn't know what right hand was doing. There are certain folks who are territorial about their process; difficult to adjust to new use cases or scenarios. Observed situations where folks knew who was in charge of things but were still unable to get issues resolved. Regarding work/life balance, for executives and management, it is very poor. So keep these things in mind if you decide to accept a position here.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear your experience was seamless and that you feel equipped for success. A diverse team, growth opportunities, and the right tools are exactly what we strive for every day. As for your only ‘con’ - not joining sooner - don’t worry, we’re working on inventing a time machine for future hires (just waiting on the budget approval!). Until then, we’ll settle for making sure every day here feels like the right time to be part of Travis Credit Union. Thanks for being part of our journey and for reminding us why we love what we do!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for the years you spent with Travis Credit Union. We’re glad to hear our healthcare benefits, employee loan discounts, and EAP were meaningful to you. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with staffing, management support, and cross-department communication did not meet expectations. Benefits are important, but they should never have to carry the entire employee experience by themselves, that is a lot of heavy lifting for an EAP and a loan discount. Your comments are important, and we take feedback like this seriously. We continue to focus on strengthening leadership support, improving communication across teams, and creating a more consistent and supportive experience for employees, especially in high-impact member-facing roles like the Contact Center. Thank you again for your service to TCU and for sharing your perspective. We wish you the very best in what comes next.
