Tri-Line Carriers

Is this your company?

Good caring company. Good desire to build on character rather than skill. - Operations Manager Tri-Line Carriers Employee Review

Pros

Aims to be professional, safe, and successful. Looks after those who appear to be accountable.

Cons

Maintenance program is lacking, uses outside vendors. There are very limited benefits. There's too much bureaucracy in divisions. Lacks standards and protocols in operations in a written format. Lacks a good training program. Lacks quick decision making on cancerous personal. Sometimes get management gets caught up in BS from the employees, but needs to see the fuller picture of reality, rather than hearing it from one sided or biased people. Good news is this company seems to be working on these issues.

Pros

The best part about working here was when I was put on night shift and I didn't have to see any of the poisonous "management". I walked in one afternoon for my latest new shift start time, walked out 10 minutes later without a job, but at least I got a severance package.

Cons

There is absolutely no training. Expect to be ignored or snapped at when you ask a question. You work when they tell you to, not what you agreed to in the interview. This changes every couple of days to weeks. There is no consistency. Forget work life balance if you're salary. Overtime is mandatory and unpaid. Same goes for working holidays. Management has an open door policy, but bullies their staff. I've been yelled at on many occasions. That feeling like you're walking on egg shells around the office. The tools required to do the job are not provided and when things go wrong as they constantly do, it is you on the hook for it. Dispatchers have no power to make decisions and there's often lengthy breakdown times at night while waiting for manager approval to do anything or call a tow truck. Benefits package kind of sucks for what you can use it for and it costs you about $60/month to have it. Tri-Line says they pay 75%, but that makes the package way more expensive than any other one I've ever had. YOU ARE REPLACEABLE, company does not value it's people at all. Very high turnover rate.
