Pros

It's a decent company to work if your in between jobs, a student, or looking to change industries.

Cons

The sites in Alaska are pretty remote, and the pay is 9.75 and hour (regardless to what they tell you, or any of the other seafood manufacturing company's) with 13.75 being the overtime pay. Your able to save money fairly quickly. However that will also depend on whether or not you have any vices (eg. drinking, online shopping, drugs, gambling etc.). Again most of these locations are pretty remote so if your unfamiliar with what all that entails, or unable to entertain yourself or occupy your time when your not working, thing can go from bad to worse fairly quickly for you. If it's peek season you will work upwards to 12-16 hrs regularly, and by regularly I mean 7 days a week for the however long their is work. I don't recommend this job for anyone over 50 years old, or for anyone that isn't familiar with HARD work. Also even though your room and board is included, it will be taken out of your earnings and the amount can and will fluctuate depend on the number of hours you work in a pay period. In fact between taxes and the boarding cost your overtime hours will primarily go towards those expenses. My experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I went there with an objective, stuck to it and moved on. Some people there (mostly immigrants on visa's) make a career out of working for these types of companies, and will stay there onsite for YEARS never leaving to go home, almost like a work camp. Anyway it's something that isn't for everybody, but can be useed as a stepping stone for others.

Pros

-Decent pay -Room and board paid for -month vacation at a time

Cons

-No real room for growth -to much favoritism and racism - leadership really doesn’t protect you they are more likely trying to get you fired or show favoritism towards certain employees -HR doesn’t help anyone but the management team, chief engineers, leads, etc.
