Cons
Terminex took over a couple of years ago and totally killed the business....after loosing thousand of customers service master put trugreen people back in control this year....last year dispatching was moved to a central location in NJ which caused major issues considering our branch is out of chelmsford mass.....they also centralized customer service which caused additional issues....work was dispatched on a wagon wheel approach....this means going into neighborhoods and servicing just a few customers and coming back multiple times to service the rest....i would get people coming up to me complaining why there house wasn't being serviced but the neighbor was....completely dumb and unproductive causing a massive increase in service calls, phone calls, fuel, overtime and cancelled accounts....also good vets leaving the next season for better companies and replacing them with rookies because trugreen refuses to pay for experience....the year terminex took over all vets took a 5 percent cut in salary which was about a dollar or so per hour real nice...the new hand held technology (trutrack) they introduced last year to replace paper worked poorly......if a customer got rescheduled there was a real good chance they would get lost in the system resulting in very late treatments...it wouldn't be uncommon for customers to go 60 to 90 days between a visit......now you know why cancels where a major problem..furthermore, the new system lacked information that would help in doing your job...we couldn't answer questions from customers in regards to there program...couldn't call the office to get questions answered because all customer support was moved off our location..the hand held would break down by freezing up because they couldn't handle the information overload.... here is something a lot of people dont know....the investment firm that owns service master and trugreen also owns 60% of john deer landscape.....
