Pros

Well, there is a fair amount of schedule flexibility, but that's about all I can tell you.

Cons

Unprofessional, toxic culture, backstabbing, oh my. I was warned, but I didn't listen.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and provide your feedback. Building a results driven culture anchored on goals, inclusiveness, collaboration and courage is something of which as an organization we value and actively work on. Taking care of our people is our number one priority. With this in mind, over the past few years, we have hired some key leaders that will help drive our path forward by demonstrating those same values. To ensure we continue to be on the right path, we have open dialogue and conversations with our employees on a continuous basis through our engagement survey and organizational pulse checks. We have an employee engagement score above benchmarks for other technology companies and have an open communication loop that includes leadership regularly asking for direct feedback from all employees. The combined results reflect that we are on the right path in transforming our culture. The feedback we continue to receive from our employees, particularly those who have been with TrueCar for a long time, is that TrueCar’s culture many years ago is not TrueCar’s culture as of today. This transformation is something that we are not only proud of, but continue to cultivate. As we continue to further these efforts, this year we are launching our quarterly feedback cycle, enabling and empowering all our crew members to give and receive feedback regularly throughout the year, so that we continue to strengthen our culture and our values. As a leader in the company, we do encourage you to provide your feedback to the leadership team, your manager, a member of your People team or our anonymous feedback platform AllVoices.

Pros

Great Benefits & Remote Work

Cons

No matter how hard you work, there’s no recognition or pay increase. I wouldn’t recommend using the open-door policy if you have concerns about a manager. I raised an ongoing issue and ended up being written up based on claims that I wasn’t completing my work, even though I was following instructions. When layoffs happened, I was unfortunately among the first to be let go. It felt like a real slap in the face after all the time and commitment I gave to the company.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for the contributions you made during your time with the company. We’re pleased to hear that you valued our benefits package and remote work flexibility, both of which remain important components of our employee experience. We take feedback regarding recognition and our open-door policy seriously. TrueCar is committed to maintaining a workplace where employees can safely raise concerns and where all issues are reviewed fairly and objectively. While organizational changes and employment decisions are driven by broader business considerations, we understand that these transitions are difficult. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
