Pros

Peers were amazing; work setup and flexibility was great, benefits great, customer base is full of incredible people.

Cons

Pay is absolutely atrocious. Company relies on “Radford scales” to set pay based on market averages, but this scale did not account for inflation (starting pay for a claim associate has been around $48k for 5ish years; that’s a huge relative decrease.) Very punishing job for high achievers. My biggest regret at Turo was going into the office, making connections, being helpful to everyone I met, learning, and working to improve things as much as my scope allowed. I would’ve been much better served spending my time working remote doing the bare minimum with my Xbox or a second job running on another screen, and that’s sad.

Pros

Unfortunately, not many since the company has shifted priorities, post layoffs. Good work/life balance but depends on your role

Cons

Lack of employee development due to lack of bandwidth for leaders, new shift in performance management allows leaders to let employees go without development paths, there's a push to work harder and move faster creating a toxic work environment.
