Pros
I've heard they're a flexible company, but I haven't had the opportunity to see this from them.
Cons
I got "hired" on March 25th. It's now June 13th and I still haven't had the opportunity to tutor even one student. Needless to say the schouol year will be ending soon and requests for tutors will decrease. I waited about a month and a half for my orientation after getting hired. A few months ago I received an email about a student I felt would be a good fit for me. I emailed expressing my interest and never got a reply back. I emailed again about five days later asking if the student had been matched with someone. I then got a response saying the student had been matched with someone who went to a similar high school. This confused me, as the reason we have standardized curriculums is so that the material being taught to students is consistent across schools. Currently, the only things that have come out of this position are: wasted time/money (police check, traveling to and from orientation), and wasted opportunities (I've now signed a contract saying I can't start my own tutoring business, which I wouldn't have minded if I had the opportunity to build students and make money through this company).
