Pros

Coordinators find the students for you and offer you a student - you have 24 hours roughly to accept offer. They try to find someone within your area but most of the time they fail to do that.

Cons

The pay is not good - they must charge their clients a lot for each hour and pay their tutors half the amount. Not to mention having to drive to the students home for a one hour session is not worth it. Most of my students lived 30-40 minutes away, I ended up spending more in gas than I earned.

Pros

Not having to find clients. Setting my own schedule. Having access to non-local clients.

Cons

Rearranging schedules for clients when life get is the way. Having to fill hours in with a working adult sometimes will cause a headache. Also, working outside your area can be technologically tricky on the websites backend SO make sure that the local managers know the procedure,
