Pros

Coworkers are smart, conscientious, and fun. Office atmosphere is great. Development structure can respond to required changes in the application fairly quickly, and the product is designed to truly enhance the client experience. Many clients are long term clients and have become friends as well.

Cons

The pay structure for implementation consultants focuses on utilization hours. The focus then becomes billing, and delivering quality is lost. It also punishes he employee for taking vacation time and travelling to client sites during the week instead of on the weekends. The focus on quantity over quality seemed to result in a lot of finger pointing and blame across departments (and within departments) instead of working on getting everyone working together. This just wears down everybody. Information about the product is scattered and resides in a few peoples heads. Clients know more about how our software works than the implementers who train them do. High turnover in the implementation ranks but not a lot done to rectify the situation and with each person lost, a lot of knowledge goes out the door. Felt like my track of management was insincere although I would not say this about other departments.

Pros

Great Company to work for! Stable, caring and dedicated to Public Sector.

Cons

Sometimes faster change would be beneficial, but thorough consideration is what makes it stable, which is a plus!

Pros

BCBS insurance/decent benefits. Good amount of PTO (4 weeks to start, holidays, and 2 floating holidays). WFH M/F and as needed. Solid company so job stability is good as well, which is important in this economy. Flexible in terms of appointments and schedules. Room for growth in your position. Most of mid-level management are kind and open to listening to you.

Cons

Definitely underpays compared to the industry standard across the board. Promises more money is coming year after year, but never delivers - senior management is the roadblock here - may not be the case for all departments though. Promotion does not always equal significant/decent pay raise. No sick days - lumped in with PTO instead. However, you can WFH when sick/as needed. Recently changed health insurance to no longer cover diagnostic testing/bloodwork at 100%, so you may get hit with a couple hundred dollar bill.
