Cons
Leadership has made it very clear that all of their employees are expendable and we're just numbers to them. They preach the 5 C's but they don't act on them. They are acting erratically making huge decisions that uproot lives without any honest reason communicated to us. Here are some things that have happened since late August. Most have been told remote work is over and we're back to 5 days a week effective immediately. We also never received a formal email about this. Our VPs had to spread this news to their teams and carry that burden without much information. Many have been quietly laid off without warning - This includes VPs and directors who have decades of experience with Tyson. Our EVPs now have multiple huge titles while roles are being absorbed. One person is our EVP Chief Legal Officer & Secretary, Global Governance & Corporate Affairs, President of International, & Chief Administrative Officer. Most recently, it was announced that we're closing all other corporate offices and moving everyone to Springdale. No options for anyone to work remotely. They can move or they can leave and Tyson will replace them. We don't even have a permanent home for them because wait... there's more! We're building/remodeling these new fancy corporate offices that look super expensive and unnecessary. I guess they're trying to make it more fun for everyone to come in 5 days a week for no reason? Everything won't be done for years, but everyone needs to move here by next summer. Many of us are frustrated. The punches keep coming. I know we're not done. Tyson only cares about their stock prices and they'll do whatever it takes to raise them.
