Pros
The bank is financially sound because they are ultra-conservative in their lending practices.
Cons
Salaries are some of the lowest in the market. No merit increases, no cost of living increases. Upper management has made it nearly impossible to earn incentive. Even if you pull your weight and exceed expectations, all it takes is one person getting a bad customer service score to negate bonuses for ALL employees. Computers are all ancient. They upload new programs to the computers but never adjust for processors or memory, so the systems are constantly locking up and slow. This results in poor customer service scores, which in turn results in no incentive payout for employees due to circumstances completely beyond their control. Management is inconsistent with policies. Sales goals are unrealistic. In short, go somewhere else if you want to work in the banking industry. US Bank is a waste of time and energy. They don't care about their employees. I am hesitant to tell people where I work.
