Pros

If you like toxic workplaces, having your career underminded by underhanded practices, creepy, manipulative, self-serving managers, being worked to the point of exhaustion, gaslighting and scapegoating, U.S. Bank is the place for you!

Cons

This company sets its employees up to fail then tries to scapegoat them for its own poor performance. They use underhanded practices to try to thin out their workforce. They work their employees to the point of burnout then try to gaslight them that they're underperforming. They will punt you around between different teams and products and managers so that you can never build up any momentum or feel any sense of security. They pretend to be compassionate and ethical, but they will punish you for taking time off to deal with medical and personal issues. They treat their hardworking employees like absolute garbage. They just don't care.

Pros

The pay is market average, and the benefits are quite good. I love my peers. The vast majority of them are kind and talented people. I truly enjoyed my first several years with the company. Well past the honeymoon period for a new employer. And at the time, I recommended this place to anyone I knew looking for a job.

Cons

Management is a mess from the bottom up. The culture of the company has drastically changed over the last several years because of frequent retirements, layoffs, and reorganizations. Employees I know from across describe the same experience: the company has gone from outstanding culture to one that feels openly hostile to its employees. Management decisions are built like cudgels and enforced through all stick and no carrot.
