Pros

Great mission. Facilitating safe travel and economic development is absolutely necessary. Purpose can easily be extracted in defense of our nation.

Cons

Bureaucratic and "old-boys" club culture. Very stratified. Commitment to the mission is evident in the "field" but is lip service at the leadership level where competition for position and power is evident. The mission is affected by the lack of collaboration between CBP and other DHS organization's.
