Pros
The work itself was meaningful and aligned with my skills and interests. I had opportunities to take on challenging projects, grow professionally, and make a real impact. Collaborating with my peers was often rewarding, and I appreciated the chance to contribute to work that mattered.
Cons
Leadership lacked cultural competence and failed to foster an equitable environment for Black women. Experiences of bias were dismissed or minimized, and there was a clear lack of accountability around diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. The workplace culture tolerated microaggressions and did not support authentic advancement opportunities for underrepresented groups.
