Pros

UBS salaries are generally competitive, and their beneifits are slightly more generous than industry counterparts in the US. UBS is generally willing to subsidize any career related education, and one should take advantage of this, sooner rather than later. Many jobs at UBS are very focused on sales, and certain types of people thrive in that environment.

Cons

The uncertainty surrounding the entire brokerage industry makes any career path here a risky one, particularly hostage to the business cycle. For the next serveral years it will simply be a more competitive environment, where many players focus on the same segments of the market.

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
