Pros

UBS benefits are excellent and internal mobility is good. I started as a temp in back office in 2005 and moved my way to front office Associate director over 4.5 years holding four roles in total during this time. Training has been excellent.

Cons

because of UBS size it is easy to feel like you are one of a million cogs in a vast machine. It is difficult to know what the powers that be are doing behind the scenes which can be disconcerting particularly during a market downturn. Transparency in decision making is often opaque.

Pros

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
