Pros

Good benefits if you're a TEAMS including sick leave, PTO, and some state benefits.

Cons

High turnover rate due to poor management and unhealthy work environment. Molecular supervisor has very poor people and management skills, and half of the dept has left since they started as a result. SOP's are riddled with errors and outdated practices. Molecular supervisor plays favorites, and will provide opportunities, raises, and flexibility based on favoritism. Supervisor maintains a skeleton crew while adding testing responsibilities in order to increase revenue and petition for raises for themselves over the employees performing the testing. Requests for help or new hires goes ignored until the requesting employee quits, and the workload is pushed onto a new person. When problems arise the employees are usually blamed and disciplined, and the root causes of the issues aren't addressed, leading to additional errors. Little to no upward movement for employment, and if you're hired on as OPS you will likely have to wait until you've maxed out the allowable OPS hours before they promote you to TEAMS (or fire you). Raises are merit based and only based on supervisor recommendations (ie favoritism).
