Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
The canteen and office are very modern and green.
They really seem to care about career advancement with quarterly check ins to see where you want to go in your career and how you get there.
Work is completely flexible and very understanding about your time and life outside of work as long as you are doing your job
Cons
Quite a lot of change, the business seems to restructure semi-regularly although this seems to affect our US colleagues a lot more
Some teams can be sluggish and have a "not my job" attitude to collaboration

Thanks for taking the time to leave us your feedback. It is great to hear that you find our culture friendly and welcoming and that you are able to enjoy the amenities in our Basingstoke office.
We know that change can be difficult, but these are the result of thoughtful decisions to ensure UL Solutions can continue working for a safer world long into the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your input.
The work is interesting. Some decent travel is available if desired. If you work hard and set yourself apart from others you can earn a promotion.
Cons
It’s all about who you know. All responsibilities fall on Engineering. Engineering does much more than “engineer” and spend too much time on stuff that admin staff “should be able” to do. When something needs to change the usual solution is to have Engineers be responsible for it because many non-engineers can’t handle mediocre tasks.
