Pros

It's headquartered in Minnesota, which is a very nice place to live. Most of the employees are also really great and easy to get along with.

Cons

Supervalu clearly does not care about its employees. They are so cheap that a huge percentage of workers are temps so that SV does not have to pay for benefits. The working environment is also atrocious with each person stuck within their cubicle and even regular chitchat is frowned upon -- literally all work, no play. Know of employees who log 80+ hours a week Senior management is HORRIBLE. Vast majority have no clue what they were doing and should have been laid off years ago. Their knowledge of their OWN projects is 60-70% at best. Everything is done in circles and easy mistakes don't get fixed until they are eventually passed off to the lowest rung employees to deal with, which by that point, one might as well start over completely rather than try to sort the chaos. There is absolutely no accountability and higher-ups think it's acceptable to dump their paper-pushing and menial tasks onto others. There is rarely any mutual respect to be found. Also, communication is a lost cause.
