      Great colleagues to deal with. Short Fridays. Free bagels.

      Cons

      Customer Service Department is features many short term hires who come and go. The CS department is an egg head like department that is run reactively rather than proactively. Meetings only feature management heads talking in a drill sergeants sort of way rather than asking questions and advice from personnel.

      It is a paper manufacturer that makes paper for printing which is a tough and shrinking business.

      Pros

      Teams in North America are the hardest working individuals. They have incredible talent and are extremely supportive.

      Cons

      Every part of UPM is controlled and ran by management in Europe. This means that the teams in other regions are stifled, siloed, and become stagnant. This alienates innovation and process improvement, perpetuating an atmosphere where talent cannot be maintained or grow.
