Pros

The benefits are some of the best around including a full funded pension plan on top of the 401k offered. Medical, dental, and vision plans. Legal plans are also offered along with a wide range of life & disability insurance plan to choose from. Non-union employees are considered management employees. Non-union employees are eligible to receive Management Incentive Plan (MIP) which amounts to multiples of your monthly salary to be paid in a bonus (i.e. 0.5, 1.0, 2.0) depending on your management level. A MIP of 1.0 equates to a bonus of 1.0 months salary paid at the end of the year. Very stable company.

Cons

The downside of having good benefits is that the company seems to pay a lower base salary compared to similiar positions at other companies. A strong promote-from-within culture has the downside of allowing people get into positions of authority that otherwise are not qualified. Also, seem like the company wants A & B players but only pay them B & C salaries.

High turnover, Interim Leadership. Insufficient training.
