You don’t work the gates much anymore since 2025 but obviously subject to change.
Cons
They will refuse to promote GS-5’s after a year with no end in sight. If you want a GS-7 you have to take on two other roles, armory and the Desk (dispatch). You have to train and test on both. They will put you on those positions.
