Pros

Flexibility, autonomy to make your own schedule if you are doing well, some of the best training I have ever received, technology driven company (have an app for just about all aspects of the business)

Cons

potential merger with sysco put company at a standstill for a year and a half. Multiple walk outs by warehouse staff and drivers created animosity between company and customers. Company went public and started getting rid of people. You are just a number according to the company now. Driving hundreds of miles on certain days. Ride alongs with managers on a bi-weekly basis. No mileage reimbursement or gas card. Put thousands and thousands of miles on your car. Higher pricing than biggest competitor. Most customers just want cheapest products. What have you done for me lately mentality. Have to be available 7 days a week if customer needs product. Commission Margins are shrinking.

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
