Pros

You get an immense amount of responsibility immediately upon the completion of your initial training. You learn a great deal about leadership and management. There are opportunities to continue your education.

Cons

In personnel matters, the Navy is totally inflexible by nature. Most mid-level managers are afraid to rock the boat. Senior leadership is very good, but you have to get through that middle layer.
