Pros

Management is very hands on and involved in the day to day happenings. Some places you never see the management and I really like that you can have a conversation with them whenever you need to. There is definitely an open door policy. The in-branch training is top notch. If I ever have a question or need help there is always someone there who can help me or at least point me in the right direction of who to talk to. The technology is wonderful! The programs that USG uses are hands down some of the best in the industry. There are of course glitches and bugs, but IT is always right on top of things! Education is always encouraged and if you want to advance within the company, you will have the full support of management if you put your best foot forward and set a goal for yourself.

Cons

I find the initial systems training provided corporately to be lacking. New hires come in and have everything thrown at them within a week and definitely leave feeling overwhelmed and that they haven't absorbed anything adequately. While the health insurance is reasonable for just the employee, the family health insurance is extremely cost prohibitive. There should be more sharing of the production bonuses for the assistants. As of right now, it is completely up to the producer if they share with their assistant(s) at all and how much they share.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we respect that not every experience will be the same, we do want to clarify a few points. We have a structured and comprehensive onboarding program, including an extensive first week of training where expectations, compensation structure, and performance goals are clearly outlined. This is followed by ongoing support through periodic check-ins, as well as continued access to training resources and mentorship from leadership and experienced team members. We also want to emphasize that we genuinely care about our team members and their success, and we strive to provide the tools and support needed to help them grow. Expectations around ramp-up periods, production, and compensation are communicated upfront and reinforced throughout employment. Our goal is to ensure individuals have clarity and support at every stage. We take feedback seriously and continuously evaluate our processes, but it’s important to ensure that information shared reflects the structure and support that are in place. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
