Pros

World renowned medical institution with behind the times administrative training and leadership. Diversity is a pro and why I came here in the first place but the UT System is controlled by politics so hard to escape that aspect. People from everywhere across the globe and all walks of life work here. It truly was a privilege to learn and grow with so many different people.

Cons

Culture needs changing and better training. The intranet is beyond out of date. Internal search engine is chaotic and uninformative. The second most endowed university not investing in critical technology/software that is used everyday by employees is mind boggling. Whoever negotiated the 2023 BCBSTX contract should not be negotiating on behalf of UTHealth employees ever again.
