Pros

Typically 1:3 assignment. But it’s a somewhat heavy assignment with residents trickling in orders and other providers doing procedures, not commonly done in the ED. Retirement is great, but takes five years to become vested.

Cons

No education for nurses. The 3 “manager” pretty terrible. They don’t talk to each other and have no accountability. The woman whom is the director is only concerned about money. To park in a close parking lot is about $1600 a year. You’re forced to take a break, but no one can ever cover your break. I made about $44/hr with 5 years of experience as an RN. The union wont happen as the WI supreme Court just denied collective bargaining.
