Pros
All companies insist that they value their employees and customers but then make decisions that are inconsistent with those values. While UncommonGoods isn't perfect, the leadership team is consistently making decisions that favor the employee and customer experience over the bottom line. The CEO and COO are passionate about the people working here and work hard to make sure that the employees and customers are happy. The employees are smart and dedicated and new ideas & processes are encouraged. The company is incredibly fiscally responsible, which makes me feel that my job is more secure than a company who is constantly looking for more funding.
Cons
The interview process for a full-time position can be daunting, and it's typical to meet 50 candidates before 1 is hired. Part-time / seasonal positions aren't nearly so time-consuming.
