Pros

Those beautiful kids that will make it to college.

Cons

Your work like a horse. Your personal life does not matter to these people (top down). DOOS work their minds away and it passes down to everyone below. Everything is due at the same time. Your can work a 12 hour shift and still leave work feeling like nothing has gotten done because there are always more work than there is people to do it and hours to get it done. You work so much that you begin to lose sight of what the end goal really is and that is for those babies to make it to college. It should never be this way at any organization. They sell you a dream of a 10 hour work day but you end up doing 12-15 hours a day and many times still be expected to take your laptop home and work into wee hours of the night. This makes me so sad writing this because it all is for a great cause but the means to that end is insane.

Pros

Uncommon Schools is a really positive, warm environment. People work hard and have tons of joy in their collaboration!

Cons

We are growing quickly, so the work load is busy! This isn't really a con, just something for new folks to be aware of :)
