Business Outlook
Pros
You will work hard but you will learn a lot and be surrounded by people who really care about what they do. You will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on students and receive needed supplies and resource. They pay more then the public schools, but you will work significantly more hours.
Cons
The hours are challenging and provide little in terms of work life balance, resulting in frequent burnout. Your work will be carefully scrutinized and you wont have a lot of freedom to create your own learning environment. Lessons are frequently video-taped and then viewed and critiqued by supervisors and peers. There is very limited cooperation with nearby public schools and the surrounding communities.
