Pros

The field is enjoyable, build strong relationships with prospects that may lead to future business. Good experience for setting appointments over the phone and meeting with potential customers, big or small.

Cons

RI SALES- Micro-Mgmt with constant turnover of reps due who have success but can't bare his constant assult. Very poor training & never allow time to ask for help or questions so issues never get resolved. No other management involved either, so feel stuck with no help except peers in same position. Weekly reviews supposed to help reps but uses general numbers and basic info so not informative and often problems are brought up after they occur. Several times manager decides to get involved with customer, when he wants to, ignoring trust you've built and leading to frustrating/losing customer / prospect.

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
