Pros

I have worked at Unifirst for 10 years. I have held all service positions - management and route sales. Unifirst provides opportunity for advancement and they like to fill positions from within. They offer great benefits, retirement, profit sharing, PTO, etc. Management genuinely cares and values the employees. As a longtime employee, I can say with certainty that this location is run with high standards, strong morals and vaules. As far as the other review stating drug sales, poor work conditions, outdated equipment, etc that is false. The building is brand new and state of the art. The trucks are evaluated and the fleet is updated annually. I have never witnessed a drug deal and the people I work with are not corrupt. The majority of us are married with children. I would recommend Unifirst if you are hardworking, self motivated and customer service oriented.

Cons

Early mornings, some long days and fluctuations in commission.

Thank you for your feedback and your years of service. You are right, we promote from within whenever possible. In fact, the vast majority of our executive leaders have worked their way up from entry-level positions in the company. We appreciate your words defending Austin’s good name. : )

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
