Pros

Job pays decently, co-workers are pretty chill, uniform is free and being able to run your route the way you want can feel rewarding.

Cons

Your safety is not a major concern for them. You are just a number no matter what they try to tell you.

Thank you for the review. Safety is of paramount importance at UniFirst. Upon hire, all new employees who will have access to driving one of our vehicles must obtain a medical DOT card, pass a defensive driving test, and complete the designated safety training. Each day, prior to operating their vehicle, it is mandatory for employees to conduct a vehicle inspection following the steps in their UVO inspection booklet. If a vehicle fails any of the safety inspection points, it is not to be operated; no exceptions. A spare vehicle must be used until any issues are rectified. We provide all the personal protective equipment you may need as well. We are a family that values the safety of all of our Team Partners. If you feel there are unsafe occurrences taking place during your workday, please bring your concerns up to your Location Management so they can be addressed immediately.

Pros

Upper management genuinely cares about their team, and the hiring process is simple and straightforward. Base pay and the monthly stipend are both fair, and I appreciate the company's structure — questions get answered quickly, and you have dedicated team member support. I also like that the role is self-managing, with CDR handling pricing and deal structuring so you can focus on your own performance. Overall, this company really takes care of its employees.

Cons

The pay structure for this role is a bit unique — after a sale closes, the CDR earns commission for the first few months, and then commission transitions over to the drive team. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, just an observation, and I'm not knocking the company for it. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at UniFirst.
